| Greetings! My name is Ray Fillet, but my friends also call me Man Ray. I don't have a preference, so you may call me by either name. I was once a normal human marine biologist named Jack Finney who worked at the Burroughs Aquarium in New Jersey. Unfortunately, while I was conducting an investigation of our local sewage system regarding illegal dumping, I was exposed to some Mutagen and became the mutant known as Ray.
I've always had a keen interest in the environmental emergencies that plague our oceans. I suppose my mutation is truly a blessing in disguise, as I now have powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men (that sounds a bit familiar... hmmm...) that I use in the attempt to protect our seas from those who would ravage and pollute them. Believe me, this is far more than a full time job! If mankind doesn't stop the foolhardy tactic of using the oceans as a garbage dump the entire planet will suffer beyond measure. We are already seeing the effects that such short-sighted and foul practices have created, and I assure you that things are going to get far worse before they improve. The ocean is where life began, and if humans are not careful, they will become the genesis of where life ends. It's already happening. I don't mean to depress you, but I certainly hope that what I'm saying alarms you. I also hope that you will do your part to ensure that our seas will remain healthy and vibrant. Mankind has been treating our greatest asset with callous impiety for too many decades now... it's time that we started correcting our mistakes. Thank you for listening.
