Here comes heroes in a half-shell

TMNT

Carnivorous robots chow-down in China Town while brutal Ninjitsu Warriors, blood descendants of the deadly Foot Clan, bust-up bystanders from the Bronx to Broadway.

Police swat teams can't stop them, but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can! 'Cause powered by slices of pizza, they're always ready to rumble - with nunchukus, Katana blades and a bus loaded with anti-Foot Clan missles.

So team-up with the Turtles, Raphael, Leonardo, Michaelangelo and Donatello, then switch on the tortoise radar, following your map and sixth sense past savage traps and secret sewer passages.

Until you knock heads with the nasty Ninjas, and either splatter them senseless or get yourself turned into turtle soup!

For 1 player only.

CHEATS

1. An Easy Way to Restore Power - Find a doorway that has a pizza slice or full pizza right at the beginning. Enter, grab the pizza, and exit. If you go back in the pizza will regenerate. Use this to restore power to all your Turtles.

2. Remove crushers in Level 3 - Go to the third level and hop in the Party Wagon. Whenever you see a pesky Crusher drive around, press SELECT. You will exit the car, and the Crusher should vanish from the screen.

3. When you get the boomerangs, throw up to 3 of them in the air, then switch Turtles, and have the new Turtle catch them. The new Turtle will be able to use those boomerangs without having picked up a boomerang icon.

Ledge tip:
When the gap between two ledges is only the width of one brick and the ceiling is Turtle height, an attempted jump will result in a sure fall. In this case, your Turtle of choice should just try to step over the gap instead of leaping. He can walk across. Avoid stopping in the middle, and he'll make it easily!

The Turtles hit the streets and pound the pavement!

Only a hardened new breed of Ninja Turtle could bring fight-to-the-finish Street Fighter II combat to 8-bit. Shredder’s brutal challenge will finally prove who’s the most dangerous Ninja warrior of them all. A grudge as old as rice has exploded into a supreme tournament of torture between the most highly-trained masters of martial arts in the world. If you think you’ve dealt with intense moves before, this will kick you right into the cowabungas. It’s time to get serious.

Will it be Leonardo? Michaelangelo? Raphael? Donatello? Casey Jones? Hothead? Or the king of low blows himself, Shredder. Only a colossal clash of lawless street justice will tell. Players may fight in four different modes. Story mode lets you brawl as one of the good guys in green against any of the good, bad or ugly dudes. Both One-player mode and Two-player mode allow you to contend as any of the seven samurai in one-on-one mutant battles. Tournament mode mixes it up in a 1 to 4 player tournament. Two at a time fight, but only the strongest comes out looking better than hamburger meat. The attack moves have never been more lethal. All fighters have nasty tactics such as the punch, jump kick, attack guard, fireball throw and slides. Then, each also has unique attack moves to make your opponent beg for mercy like Leonardo’s Tornado Rolling Sovat Kick, Raphael’s Tiger Bite Toss and Casey Jones’ German Suplex.

The Half-shellers are in for the most devastating street fighting on 8-bit. Better wash down that banana sausage pizza with some major punch.

Play as Hothead against Hothead:
Normally, the game doesn't allow more than one player (most likely due to a glitch in the programming), but there's actually a way to bypass this in 1P vs. CPU mode. In the Player Select screen, choose to play as any character (1P) EXCEPT Hothead. Next, the game will ask you to select your opponent (CPU) and here is where you choose Hothead. Now play the game normally, it doesn't matter whether you win or lose. When the match is over, go for a rematch. This time, choose Hothead to be your character. The game will once again ask you for your opponent, but look and behold! The CPU cursor is already on Hothead. Choose him and enjoy the forbidden battle (unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to do this with a second player).

Shredder has returned as Cyber Shredder - half-man, half-machine and he's created this twisty-turny "fun house" of Turtle torture. Use Turtle strategy and all new moves to help Michaelangelo rescue the gang from Cyber Shredder's fortress.

Use the Fortress Map to navigate through places unseen and find valuable items such as power-ups, ID cards, keys and shangheid Shell Backs.

Who's the boss, you ask? How about Scratch, Dirt Bag, Triceraton, Scale Tail and of course Cyber Shredder, as Turtle-hungry as they get.
