Are the Turtles brothers by bloodline?
Iit's a mystery whether or not they're actually blood brothers. Regardless, they feel that they are, which is all that really matters in their (and our) eyes.
In the "Next Mutation" series, Leonardo stated in the first episode that the Turtles are not blood-related but are brothers in the sense that they were raised as such (thanks to Dan Calkins for pointing this out). This statement opened the door for the Turtles to flirt with Venus without concerns about correlations to incest.
What are the Turtles' ages in chronological order? What are their birth dates?
Like their bloodline, their actual birthdays and ages have never been officially defined and thus are unknown.
Why was the original cartoon series called "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" in the United Kingdom and Germany?
When the series was pitched to the United Kingdom TV networks back in the late '80s, we had to change the name from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" to "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" because censorship authorities there deemed the word "ninja" to have too violent connotations for a children's program. Consequently, everything related to the Turtles had to be renamed before being released in the U. K. The lyrics to the theme song were also changed, eliminating the word "ninja" and changing it to "hero". The U. K. censorship policies also had other effects, such as editing out Michelangelo's nunchakus and generally toning down the usage of all the Turtles' weapons.
At the start of the TMNT relaunch in 2003, the censorship policies in the U. K. had changed, and thus we were allowed to use the original "Ninja Turtles" title (and no content had to be edited from the new cartoon). As a result, in the U. K., the 1987 show is still referred to as "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" while the current series is called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".
What is the Shredder Utrom's real name?
Ch'rell. He's also known as Torrinon, Kako Naso, Duke Acureds, Oroku Saki, and (of course) the Shredder.
Will the original cartoon ever return to TV?
Only
the networks can answer that question, because they make the decisions on what
programs they air. If it was up to us, the TMNT would be on 24/7. ;)
We'd love to see the original TMNT toon return to the U.S. at some point,
but when this may happen is anyone's guess.
