| Due to an unforeseen change in scheduling, the "Fast Forward" season began airing on commercial television one year earlier than originally intended. The "Ninja Tribunal" season (13 episodes) was originally going to be season five, but the schedule was changed to try to increase interest in the series and "Fast Forward" became the fifth season to air on commercial TV.
After the scheduling change was made, Mirage and its partners decided to finish production on the "Ninja Tribunal" episodes (since much of the work had already been completed) and release them directly to DVD. 4Kids Entertainment later signed a deal with Comcast and the "Ninja Tribunal" season began airing on that cable provider in August of 2006 via their "Video On Demand" feature. Thus mass confusion ensued regarding which season is officially season five and which is season six. We are listing them on our site in the correct chronological order according to the series' timeline.
The "Ninja Tribunal" began airing in North America on February 9, 2008. 4Kids promoted the season as "The Lost Episodes". The DVD set is scheduled for release on May 20.
